INFO-MANIA is a challenging word game for any number of players. Each player is in a race against the clock and all other players to think of words in a particular category and starting with a selected set of letters of the alphabet. The player with the highest score wins.

Each player is given a score sheet and pencil. The decks of alphabet cards and category cards are shuffled. One player selects five alphabet cards at random and players copy these letters on their score sheets. One player draws a category card at random and players enter this on their score sheets. The timer is set and play begins.

Players write down words that apply to the category and whose last or major name begins with each of the selected letters. When time runs out each discloses the name he has written under each of the five letters. If only one player used a particular name, he scores 3 points. If two players use the same name, they score 2 points. If three or more players use the same name, they score 1 point. If a player did not write down a name for a letter, they do not score a point. After the first category is completed, the procedure is repeated until five different categories have been played. The player with the highest total points over all five categories is the winner.
